What are probiotics?

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that live in your digestive tract. They help your body maintain a balance between beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria. A contributing factor to the strength of your immune system is the delicate balance of "good" and "bad" bacteria in your digestive system. Some Questions About True Grains: Purple Wheat Raisin Bread

What is purple wheat

True Grains® Purple Wheat Raisin bread is made with purple wheat, a grain native to East Africa, currently cultivated in North America. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, purple foods contain important nutrients called anthocyanins, which are responsible for the purple, blue, and red colors of some fruits, vegetables, cereal grains, and flowers. As an antioxidant, anthocyanins are being studied for the efficacy in fighting cancer, heart disease, and age-related conditions in the brain.
